A born and raised New Yorker\, he regularly performs at major clubs such as Caroline’s on Broadway\, Stand Up NY\, New York Comedy Club\, Tiny Cupboard\, and BKLYN Comedy Club. And when he’s not performing\, he’s writing for several children’s TV shows\, such as Rugrats\, Gabby’s Dollhouse\, and Princess Power (an upcoming series on Netflix). His comedy is a mix of storytelling\, biting observations\, and pure silliness\, but above all\, it’s a love letter to his immigrant family.

DESCRIPTION:  \nDr Abbey Ellis (IAS) will explore how Greek myths survive to be told to this day through their elevated representation during Antiquity \nDESCRIPTION: \nMyths and legends about gods and goddesses\, heroes and monsters\, and warriors and fools permeated everyday life in the ancient world. Such stories were used to explain everything from religious rituals to the weather\, giving meaning to the (often confusing!) world that the ancients saw around them. \nIn this lecture\, Dr Abbey Ellis of the Institute for Advanced Study\, Princeton will explore how these myths survive to be told to this day through their representation in some of the finest sculptures and painted pottery from antiquity. \nTICKETS: \nTickets will be available by donation and must be purchased in advance via eventbrite! We will have a QR code available for scanning at the door however if capacity is reached\, we will not be able to take walk-ins\, so please plan in advance to ensure your seat. \nEach contribution helps us to continue to bring the vast history of art to the Princeton and tri-state area communities.
