The Simple Greek is a modern Greek restaurant franchise founded by Marcus Lemonis in 2016. It combines high quality ingredients such as fresh vegetables and homemade soups and sauces, with a variety of proteins like traditional gyro, grilled chicken, steak and falafel or lentils for a great vegetarian option. Irangel and his team make everything fresh daily so that each customer has the best experience possible when they enter their location. Each guest can chose to build their own bowl or pita through the interactive ordering process in the store or, they can order through The Simple Greek app for pick up making the process fast and easy. Irangel and Julies team also offer catering throughout central Iowa! So you can bring The Simple Greek to office luncheons, parties and gatherings!

The Ankeny location is owned and operated by a husband and wife team- Irangel and Julie. Both are graduates of Iowa State and have raised their two children in central Iowa. Irangel, with more than twenty years of restaurant experience, loves overseeing the daily operations. He understands the importance of high standards when it comes to each guests experience in-store and also with their offsite catering options. While Julie and the kids are also in the store on a regular basis, she spends most of her time in classrooms as a college professor working with Biotechnology students. Their kids are still finishing school but they love to be a part of the family business whenever they can.
